Project summary
Across several projects, the OL Software team has provided design services and competencies. They have collaborated on the creation of a CRM solution and other .NET platforms.
Context
Vatia, a company from Valle del Cauca founded in 1998, is today a recognized generator and marketer of electric power in the regulated Colombian market, serving more than 30,000 users and with an installed capacity of approximately 50MW of hydroelectric power and 20MW of solar power. Its model integrates self-generation (including run-of-river plants and the Meta solar farm) with energy efficiency solutions and real-time monitoring, backed by a US$10 million investment from the IFC to strengthen the development of renewable energies.
Challenge
To develop different design projects for both the CRM and .NET applications.
Solution
At OL Software, we collaborated on process automation. The project consisted of two phases: automating employee knowledge through questionnaires and creating an application. We assembled a team of 6-7 people who worked on the main project where a CRM solution was designed and created. We worked hand-in-hand with the Vatia team, from information gathering to design, including user cases. Our team used proprietary information gathering technology. Our main goal was to develop .NET platforms with Oracle and SQL databases.
“The OL Software team has many different clients in the region. They have developed solutions for the energy sector, so they had a great knowledge of the business. That was important to us when choosing a company to work with on development projects. Their work has been excellent. At the beginning, we created a schedule and a work plan that they followed perfectly. Their team takes deadlines very seriously, meeting all the goals we set for ourselves”
